Samantha Fernandez is a singer and voice teacher. Having had her early beginnings singing in church choirs since her youth, she decided to pursue music and took up a Bachelor's in Voice Performance at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music. She studied under the tutelage of Naomi Sison and Irma Ponce-Enrile Potenciano.Devoted to developing her talents, Samantha has participated in masterclasses by singers Victoria Rapanan, Camille-Lopez Molina, and Susan Waters. She also joined theater workshops by J. Elaine Marcos with the Philippine Opera Company and Melissa Camba in 2024. Samantha was a finalist in the Senior Voice category of the National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) in 2023.Samantha has been a resident member of OperaJuan since 2023, debuting as a professional performer in the group’s 2023 concert, OperaJuan On Demand. She has then sung in two more shows for the OperaJuan, including Showstoppers in 2024 and, most recently, in I Don’t Think You Can HANDEL This: An Evening of Baroque and Beyoncé last March 2025.When she’s not performing, Samantha teaches singing, sharing her knowledge of her craft with aspiring singers.
